Craig Sweat was put into prison in 1994 for selling drugs. Over two decades later, Craig came out and the landscape of cannabis attitudes changed, with the drug going from being ‘public enemy number one’ to the fastest-growing industry in America.
Going back to Harlem where he first began, Craig launched Uncle Budd, a food-truck-style business exchanging cannabis for ‘donations’ to uplift his community. However, the 'gray market' sales were still deemed illegal by the state due to a lack of licensing.
Knowing this could not last forever, Uncle Budd tries to transition to the legal market but has to navigate a complicated system to achieve this.
